Eat Right According To Your Blood Type

Can your blood type determine the way you should eat to have better health and a fuller life? Well some people believe it can. And one of them is Dr. Peter D’Adamo.

He is a very famous neuropathic medic and in his book Eat Right for Your Type: The Individualized Diet Solution for Living Longer, Staying Healthy & Getting Your Ideal Weight he describes the idea. Here is a summary of what he says on how you should eat according to your blood type.

He is believes that blood types are the most important thing when it comes to our health and well-being and that some food can be harmful for one blood type but helpful for other. Also, he claims that even the way you exercise can be closely connected with your blood type, or on the other side, your blood type can cause you some illness.

Some experts disagree with this method of nutrition, but since his book was published, the more than 7 million sold copies worldwide speak for themselves.

How Does the Blood Type Diets Works?

D’Adamo’s theory says that each person has its responses to food, which are closely connected with our blood type. He says that lectins (carbohydrate-binding proteins) can correspond to different blood type in a different way. It can be extremely dangerous on your health if certain lectins get in contact with certain blood type.

Dr. D’Adamo closely explains these side-effects and changes in his book, but, his main goal is to analyze which foods are appropriate for each blood type and the amount in which they should be consumed. The Four Basic Blood Types:

Get Back To Inner Peace After A Breakup

I used to be friends with several ex-boyfriends.

I would hang out with them regularly. I would invite them out on the weekends. I would chat with them on the phone.

One of them eventually became a best friend. My inner circle couldn’t understand how I could continue to include the men I had previously dated in my life. Some of those relationships had been challenging. A couple of those relationships hadn’t ended so well. But somehow after doing plenty of soul searching and licking my wounds, I found the space in my heart to continue to include them in my life, in a new way.

HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?

Contrary to what you may believe, when a relationship ends, you don’t have to become archenemies or strangers with your ex. This concept may be foreign to you. Perhaps you had a relationship that was full of conflict. You could have been abused. Mistreated. The list could go on and on.

I am certainly not condoning ANY sort of mistreatment, abuse, disrespect, or inhumane act that you encountered. I am not going to convince you to remain in a toxic or unhealthy relationship. I definitely don’t want you to bypass the experience you had on a spiritual or emotional level either.

Sometimes the most loving thing we can do for ourselves and for another person is to say goodbye, permanently.

What I want for you post-breakup is to get back to a place of peace and wholeness within yourself.

This process MAY include your ex. Or it may look like letting him or her go for good. Either way, it is perfect because your choice will come from a place of deep love, trust and truth within you.

WHAT WE HAVE LEARNED ABOUT ROMANCE IS MOSTLY UNTRUE

This idea that we have to “hate our ex,” comes from a very outdated belief system. I believe that this idea was etched into our minds long before we even knew what dating was! Think back to when you were a child. You may remember those fairy tales of prince charming and the princess living, “happily ever after.” Those unrealistic storylines set you up for plenty of disappointment and failure in your future partnerships.

Romantic relationships are not about riding off into the sunset with your prince or princess and living a perfect fairy tale life.

It is important to feel loved. Laugh together. Have fun. Be supportive. Etc. But expecting that to occur ALL THE TIME is simply unrealistic.

Romantic partnership is there to foster your personal and spiritual growth. You evolve. You learn. That may occur through the blissful and the not so blissful moments in your partnership. Growing up, I longed to have a fairy tale romance. But after years of constant disappointment I knew I had to shift my perspective.

When I dropped my expectations and attachments around romance there was an immediate shift in how I related to men.

My current partnership is the closest experience I have ever had to a fairy tale. We aren’t riding off into the sunset on a white horse. We certainly have our ups and downs, but I am no longer controlling how it should unfold based on characters in a children’s book or a Hollywood movie. It has made for a far more organic, fluid and enjoyable ride.

The Mystery Of God & The Brain

As science has steadily undermined the long-held beliefs of religion, almost all that remains for people of faith is to say that God is and will forever be a mystery. Insofar as Einstein was religious, he possessed a feeling of awe and wonder at the mystery of the universe. But science hasn’t stopped chipping away at mystery, promising to reduce spiritual experience to measurable brain activity. It’s doubtful that belief in God, the soul, heaven and hell, and other tenets of faith will be drastically affected – polls continue to show that these things remain articles of belief for around 80-90% of responders.

Will neuroscience eventually be able to locate God in our neurons, and if so, should that tiny area of the brain be excised or boosted? No doubt there are arguments on both sides, depending on whether you hold that God has been good for the human race in the long run or bad. Setting aside such judgments, it turns out that the possibility of finding God in the brain creates a baffling mystery that neither religion nor science can tackle alone.

Now that advanced brain scanning can map the way our brains light up with each thought, word, or action, it’s clear that no experience escapes the brain. For a mystic to see God or feel his presence, for St. Paul to be suddenly converted on the road to Damascus, or for St. Teresa of Avila to have her heart pierced by an angelic arrow, such experiences would have to register in their brains. However, this indisputable fact (so far as present knowledge extends) doesn’t give science the advantage over religion. For it turns out that the brain has definite limitations on what it can experience.

The work of the late Polish-American mathematician Alfred Korzybski (1879-1950) is relevant here, because Korzybski worked out the layered processing that goes into the way we perceive everyday reality. Billions of bits of data bombard our sense organs, of which only a fraction enter the nervous system. Of that fraction, more of the raw input is filtered out by the brain, which uses built-in models of reality to discard what doesn’t fit. When people say “You’re not hearing me” or “You only see what you want to see,” they are expressing a truth that Korzybski tried to quantify mathematically.

Sometimes the things a person doesn’t see are simply outside the range of human experience, like our inability to see ultraviolet light. But a great deal more depends on expectations, memories, biases, fears, and simple close-mindedness. If you go to a party, and someone tells you that you are about to meet a Nobel Prize winner, you will see a different person than if you are told he is a reformed Mafia hit man. When all the filtering and processing is complete, there is no doubt that the brain doesn’t actually experience reality but only a confirmation of its model of reality.

Two interesting points follow:

  1. All models are equal as viewed from the level of the brain.
  2. Reality transcends any model we can possibly make of it.

These two points allow God, the soul, and all other spiritual experiences back into the picture. The first point demolishes the notion that science is superior to religion because it gathers facts while religion deals in beliefs. In truth, science filters out and discards a huge portion of human experience – almost everything one would classify as subjective – so its model is just as selective, if not more so, than religion’s. As far as the brain is concerned, neural filtering is taking place in all models, whether they are scientific, spiritual, artistic, or psychotic. The brain is a processor of inputs, not a mirror to realty.

What Science Is Telling Us About The Heart’s Intuitive Intelligence

The wonderful and brilliant scientists over at the Institute of HeartMath have done some amazing work in shedding light on some very significant findings regarding the science of the heart.

The Institute of HeartMath is an internationally recognized nonprofit research and education organization dedicated to helping people reduce stress, self-regulate emotions and build energy and resilience for healthy, happy lives. HeartMath tools, technology and training teach people to rely on the intelligence of their hearts in concert with their minds at home, school, work and play.

A large portion of their research has investigated heart and brain interaction. Researchers at the institute have examined how the heart and brain communicate with each other and how that affects our consciousness and the way in which we perceive our world.

Their research has shed light on a number of facts, one for example, is when a person is feeling really positive emotions like gratitude, love, or appreciation, that the heart beats out a very different message. They’ve been able to determine this by the fact that the heart beats out the largest electromagnetic field produced in the body, and they can gather data from it.

“Emotional information is actually coded and modulated into these fields. By learning to shift our emotions, we are changing the information coded into the magnetic fields that are radiated by the heart, and that can impact those around us. We are fundamentally and deeply connected with each other and the planet itself.” – Rolin McCratey , Ph.D, Director of Research at the Institute.

This is very important work, as again, it shows how the heart plays an important role far beyond what is commonly known. Did you know that your heart emits electromagnetic fields that change according to your emotions? Did you know that the human heart has a magnetic field that can be measured up to several feet away from the human body?  Did you know that positive emotions create physiological benefits in your body? Did you know that you can boost your immune system by conjuring up positive emotions? Did you know that negative emotions can create a nervous system chaos, and that positive emotions do the complete opposite?  Did you know that the heart has a system of neurons that have both short term and long term memory, and that their signals sent to the brain can affect our emotional experiences? Did you know that in fetal development, the heart forms and starts beating before the brain is developed?  Did you know that a mother’s brainwaves can synchronize to her baby’s heartbeats? Did you know that the heart sends more information to the brain than vice versa?

Help – I Am Stressed!

Stress has a bad rap – and for good reason.  Trying to avoid it or reduce it though, can be like one of those Chinese tortures where the more you try to wriggle free the tighter it wraps itself around you!

Stress is a reaction to too many demands on our time, or overwhelm of some kind.  The key to freeing yourself from it is hidden in plain sight in my previous sentence, however.

It’s a reaction to circumstances.  You can’t usually control the situation, but you can always choose how you react!

You see?  Stress comes from trying to control everything when there are simply too many things to control.

Stop trying to do that and the stress will evaporate!

Here are three effective ways to do that. (Feel free to come up with more of your own.)

(1) Separate your emotional reaction from the situation.

Find three minutes for this.  (You have to use the bathroom sometime, don’t you?)

Sit quietly and close your eyes.  Now, pay attention to your feelings about whatever is going on.

Let them become intense and then, on a zero to ten scale, (ten being unbearable), grade them.

Now, mentally put those feelings to one side and cast your mind over the facts of the situation.

You know: the boss wants that report yesterday, the kids’ birthday party won’t organize itself, and your bathroom is flooded.  Those are facts.  Just watch them impartially, as if you were making a documentary about someone else’s life.

Take a moment or two and get curious about what your mind will do next, and simply observe   your thoughts the way you’d idly watch fluffy clouds float across a summer sky.

Now, go back and check your emotions again.  Miraculously, they will have dissolved or at least reduced!  Of course, the situation will still be there, but you’ll find yourself breezing through.

Seriously, read this again and follow exactly what I have described the next time you’re feeling overwhelmed or stressed. Because it works!

(2) Change your inner monologue.

If you pay attention, you’ll catch yourself mentally saying things such as: “I can’t cope.  I’ll never get through this.  It’s all falling apart,” or similar unresourceful sentiments.

Those messages won’t help you get through.

Instead, tell yourself, “This too will pass.  If I break this down into bite-sized chunks I can easily do it.  I’ve coped with worse.  Someday I’ll look back on this and laugh – so I might as well start now!”

The Afterlife Revealed

Three siblings were preparing their departure for school this past Tuesday morning. Their mother, who had always insisted on smothering them with many hugs and kisses, waved goodbye as her three precious children ventured off in their Chevy Aveo with her eldest daughter. The nine year old was always happy and upbeat as she frantically waved good-by to her mother. The thirteen year old furnished his mother with a unique smile that only her son could give, and her eldest daughter, age 23, blew her a kiss as she drove off the driveway with the valuable cargo.

Nonchalantly the three of them continued their journey to school while listing to Christian music on the radio. Everything seemed to be going well until, suddenly and out of nowhere, appeared a  Chevy Sudan. The eldest tried to swerve away from the vehicle, but she could not. It was too late! There was nowhere to turn. They were hit head on by the oncoming vehicle.

Not long after the accident the mothers phone rang and she received the heart-wrenching news of her children’s fatal accident. He heart  began to race as her knees crumpled to the floor in utter dread, and tears streamed down her face, for she had lost not just one child that day but all three had perished in the accident.

ndt

No mother should ever have to endure such devastation. But sadly, I have to report that this story is true and it happened to a sweet woman at our church.

I say this not to incite fear but to warn you that death is a real event no matter your age. It strikes the young, the old, the rich, and the poor. And one day death will be knocking at our doorstep, and it may not be something we desire, and quite frankly it can be scary, but it is something we will all be faced with at some point in our lives….

The question, then, is what happens when you die? Are we reincarnated, do we become non-existence, do we all get to live in a bliss, or is there really a heaven and a hell?

Based of NDE’s (Near Death Experiences) we can gain an insightful picture of the afterlife. The video below dives into this very subject and gives ample proof for what happens in the afterlife…

After the video hopefully you have come to the same conclusion I have, and that is heaven and hell do exist and what the Bible says is real! This outweighs any other theory and NDE’s are proving it…

Out Of Body Experiences

Are out-of-body experiences valid?  Or are they just illusory products of glitches in the brain?  Dr. Crookall at the University of Aberdeen has written 9 books on out-of-body cases due to the overwhelming amount of evidence in their favour. A survey of 380 Oxford students showed that 34% had an OBE. A separate survey of 902 adults revealed that 8% have had an OBE. In a study of 44 non-Western societies, only 3 did not hold a belief in OBEs. Another study showed that out of 488 world societies, 89% had at least some tradition regarding OBEs.  So this phenomenon is familiar and lots of people claimed to have experienced it before, but is there any scientific credibility to this phenomenon?

A fascinating experiment was done by Dr. Charles Tart, who was a Professor Emeritus of Psychology at the University of California. He had also served as a Visiting Professor in East-West Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies, and as an Instructor in Psychiatry at the School of Medicine of the University of Virginia.  A study he published in the Journal of the American Society for Psychical Research may be the most infamous OBE study ever done.

He documented the out-of-body experience of a young woman who was one of his research subjects.  She was in a room with nothing but a bed, a shelf, a clock, and an observation window where Dr. Tart observed from another room.  She also had electrical devices hooked up to her head to detect brain wave activities, which can be seen in the diagram below.

What  makes this particular out-of-body experience remarkable is that she was able to leave her physical body as Dr. Tart watched from the other room and read a 5-digit number of 25132 off of a piece of paper that was on a shelf in the corner of the room.  The number was at a significant distance above the bed so that she would not be able to read the number even if she was standing, and she reported seeing the correct number him upon return to her physical body which remained attached to the bed as she was being watched. EEGs, REMs, and galvanic skin response were all recorded before and during her OBE which indicated a significant alteration in the readings during the time she left her body. Her OBE a good example of “veridical perception” which is where verified events are observed while in an out-of-body state.

As Dr. Tart concluded: “While the physiological data are limited by dependence on her retrospective report in correlating physiological pattern with the experience, it seems as if her out-of-body experiences occurred in conjunction with a non-dreaming, non-awake brain wave stage characterized by predominant slowed alpha activity from her brain and no activation of the autonomic nervous system. Two incidents occurring in the laboratory provide suggestive evidence that the out of-the-body experiences had parapsychological concomitants.  In summary, this brief study found a fairly clear-cut correlation between several of Miss Z’s reported OOB experiences and a physiological pattern characterized by a flattened EEG with prominent alphoid activity, no REM or skin resistance activity, and normal heart rate”

The #1 Mistake When Using the Law of Attraction

Maybe you can recall the day you found out that Santa wasn’t real.

The magic was gone forever.

But never mind, because here you are, all grown up, and along comes the law of attraction!

You don’t even have to send a note up the chimney any more; the law of attraction will give you whatever you desire just because you imagine it and believe in it.

Now, relax, it’s okay.  I’m not going to burst another bubble… at least not in the way you might think…

Sure, the law of attraction exists, but it won’t just supply you with all the goodies you can imagine just because you imagine them.

Your imagination is an extremely powerful tool and certainly deserves not to be dismissed as “just your imagination.”  But (as I mentioned in Tuesday’s post) just because you can imagine a Ferrari in your driveway doesn’t mean one’s going to appear.

It’s so easy to believe that the reason the law of attraction hasn’t delivered is because you’re not “an expert visualizer”.  Or that you can’t master the focus required for deep meditation.  Or that you have several negative subconscious beliefs sabotaging your efforts (which, btw is most often the case).

However what I don’t want you to do is to have something to blame – and a reason to give up.  It didn’t work and life goes on.

So let’s start again.  This is the law of attraction, so what are you attracted to?  And what would make you attractive to it?

If you seriously, fervently want to own a Ferrari but you only feel worthy of the beaten up Ford you’ve been patching up for the last ten years, you might notice a mismatch.

Makes sense, right?

So don’t just put up a picture of a Ferrari under a fridge magnet, (or wherever you keep your dream board), start studying the lives, blogs and Facebook pages of Ferrari owners.  How do they carry themselves?

What was their reaction to something stressful in their lives?

Trust me.  They didn’t get happy and positive after that car showed up!  They were attractive to the opportunities and people which opened up the doorways to Ferrari ownership.

So Model them.

Copy their body language – try it on like a new suit.

It may feel a little awkward to begin with, and that’s a clue.  That’s called “dissonance” and is giving you a sense of the gap between where you are and where you want to be.

Ask yourself what would it take to grow into it, to wear it in until it feels comfortable?

That’s how to use your imagination.

m92

Model the success, the lifestyle, whatever it is you want.  Become the person to whom the change you want to see is attractive.

Inner Arguments That Manifest As Struggle

If we’re experiencing any kind of struggle – with manifesting what we want, within our relationships, with our health or our bank accounts – the root cause is usually that we’re actually struggling within ourselves.

Our ego’s need for safety bickers with our Soul’s desire for self-expression. Our conscious mind is fighting with our subconscious belief system. Or maybe our inner wisdom and intuition is battling against a set of adopted values we’ve always upheld.

Here are the three most common inner arguments that we engage in, time and again.

They are not fun.

They do not create abundance.

They can’t be won.

1. I should want what I don’t really want.

We’re bombarded with messages all day long about what we “should” want. A close-knit family. A loving intimate relationship. A fit and active lifestyle. Work-life balance. A vibrant social life. A healthy diet. A six-figure income.

We should want to have it all … right?

But what if you are perfectly happy being single, enjoy the couch instead of the gym, are in love with your work to the point of obsession, and have no intention of ever giving up bacon?

All too often, we create struggle because what we think we “should” want and what actually makes us happy are two very different things.

If there’s a goal you keep struggling with, consider that it might not actually be YOUR goal at all. It might be a goal that you’ve adopted from society, your family, your friends, even your mastermind group.

Maybe you’re just regularly “shoulding” yourself into working out and leading a healthier lifestyle … but the Truth is that you don’t really want to!

Maybe you’re “shoulding” yourself into an automated sales funnel … but the Truth is, you really hate dealing with technology!

You can’t talk yourself into desire. You can try. But it’s not effective. Ever.

In fact, “shoulding” yourself into wanting what you don’t truly want may create so much preoccupation that you miss the boat on your ACTUAL Soul-inspired desires that call you into your true greatness.

2. I want you to want what you don’t really want.

It’s difficult pursuing our fullest potential when our partner, our family, and our friends are not at all interested in our vision.

Time and again, I see entrepreneurs invest huge amounts of time and energy trying to get their spouse “on board” with their big dream.

Get Rid Of Your Microwave

More than 95 percent of American homes own a microwave! This says a lot about our desires for a quick, convenient meal.

Looking at the bigger picture, this isn’t entirely our fault. Our world has evolved into a fast paced race against time, and it doesn’t help that half the food in the grocery stores are packaged in plastic for quick consumption.

nmv

I’ve always been really sensitive to microwaves, I can feel the radiation emitting off of them and usually leave the room if one is on.

Here are 5 reasons why they are worth getting rid of:

Microwaves Zap Food Nutrition

Heating your food in the microwave strips away its original nutrients. The high frequencies emitted from a microwave force the water molecules to rapidly spin, creating friction which heats the food in a short amount of time.

This completely changes the molecular structure of the food itself.

Dr. Joseph M. Mercola, a licensed physician writes that the dielectric heat in the microwave bounces around and is absorbed in the food until it evolves into a sort of ‘dead food’.Microwave-nutrients-food

The nutritional value greatly diminishes the longer the food absorbs the radiation.

Microwaves Destroy Breast Milk And Vitamin B-12

In a study published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, researchers examined the effects of microwave heating on the loss of vitamin B-12 in foods like raw beef, pork, and milk.

The results of the study show there was a 30 to 40 percent loss of the vitamin when the foods received microwave exposure.

What they found was the natural chemicals in vitamin B-12 became virtually inactive after the microwave heating process.

Researchers tested 22 freshly frozen human milk samples for lysozyme activity and antibodies by heating the samples for 30 seconds on either a low or high power setting.baby-breast-milk-bottle

Breast milk microwaved at high temperatures was found to have greater E coli growth — 18 more times than un-microwaved breast milk.

Microwaving at low temperatures also dramatically decreased lysozyme activity and also promoted the growth of harmful bacteria for babies.
